African Card Game
This African card game is based on events in North Africa during the
Second World War where Axis and Allied troops were fighting not just to
protect their colonies, but to prevent the Axis from gaining control of
the Mediterranean Sea and full access to the Middle East's oil fields.
To win the card game, you must play attack cards to score points and use
block cards to stop your opponent from scoring. Your cards are at the
top of the screen, whilst your opponent's are at the bottom. Each attack
card has an action that it carries out when played. These actions are
represented by icons in the upper left hand corner.
Drag your mouse over an attack icon and a description of
that card's action and its consequences pops up. Each attack card also
has a block type icon. Basically, a block card with a grey circle can
block any attack card with a grey circle, whilst a block card with a
green hexagon can block any similar icon etc. To attack with one of your cards press its 'attack'
button. If the computer blocks you both your card and the computer's
card are flipped over and can't be used again that turn. If the attack
wasn't blocked, you won that skirmish and score a point.
