El Alamein Game
El Alamein in North Africa was the scene of two battles that occurred in 1942 between the Axis forces of Germany and Italy commanded by Field Marshall Rommel and the Allied forces commanded by by General Auchinleck. The first battle proved inconclusive although it did prevent the Axis marching into Egypt placing the strategic Suez Canal at risk.
The second battle of El Alamein took place between 23th
October – 11th November 1942 resulting in an Allied victory and a
turning point in the Western Desert Campaign of the Second World
War as it gave a major boost to the Allies being the first time
during the entire war that any decisive victory had been achieved
against the Axis.
